Setting up your VoIP number

This guide covers creating a messaging profile and the Twilio approval process.

Navigate to https://app.achieveiec.com/integrations

If you created your Achieve account after July 15, 2026 you will see the below message pop up. Press Continue to Checkout and follow the prompts to add texting to your account.

Fill out the Account Details section and click Next

Make sure to use a physical mailing address (not a PO Box, UPS address, or similar) and your cell number (not a VOIP number). This is required for legal purposes as our Communications partner, Twilio, needs to confirm it's a real person requesting this number. This information is not used again or stored anywhere after it's verified.

Choose the a phone number from the ones listed. Many area codes don't have available numbers, which means you may have to try a few before getting one you like.

If you have an existing business number that you want to port over to Achieve, you'll still need to go through this process. When your Twilio account is approved, we'll then port your existing number over & it will replace the number you previously chose.

Once you've selected the phone number press Create

It can take 2-3 weeks for Twilio to approve your account. You may see an error under Texting in Achieve during this time period. No need to be concerned if that's the case; we're communicating with Twilio on your behalf and will reach out if there is anything you need to do.

You will be notified via email when your account is approved and texting is now available for you to use.

  • What is a VoIP number?

    A VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) number is a virtual phone number that operates over the internet rather than traditional copper landlines. It looks and acts like a regular 10-digit number but allows you to make calls and send texts using any internet-connected device, such as a smartphone, laptop, or desktop.

  • Can I port over my cell number to Achieve?

    You technically can, but if you want to keep using your cell number as your regular, personal number it's not something you want to do. Think of your cell number as part of Verizon and your Achieve number as part of Sprint. If you transfer your number to Sprint, you can't use Verizon anymore.
